A community where recovery is encouraged, supported and respected.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRecovery, in this case, is recovery from substance use and\/or mental health disorders. I grew up in central Wisconsin; but the first three years of my recovery journey were spent began in Cincinnati, Ohio. They broke me; and reshaped me. Life changed fast; I faced many challenges; and I needed a lot of guidance and encouragement. I don\u2019t know if I could have made it without the love and support I received from my recovery community; AND, the strength and inspiration I received while in sober living.\n

\nToday, I work with people who are entering into recovery; and, I see them facing what seem to them as insurmountable barriers housing, employment, denial of services, and much more. It has been my personal mission to provide persons in Wisconsin with the opportunities that I had. First, building the bridges that brought recovery to light in Winnebago County. Second, founding Unity Recovery Services a nonprofit organization providing peer-based support in recovery centers, treatment environments, courts and jails in eight central Wisconsin counties. And now, by creating a network of sober living houses, single-family homes, and multi-family properties where individuals and families can build lives centered around recovery and overall wellness.\n
